Goals for the new year.
Sooo. Third of January. Third day of the new year - 2008. The year when stuff really start happening. At least, I'm hoping it is.
I've made myself some goals. Firstly, I'm going to apply for art school - Comic Artist's School in Gävle, to be precise - and this is going to require some hard work on my part, since I need to get a sort of portfolio together. One two-page comic, four unconnected comic pages, three lifedrawings and one caricature. And all of them as good as I can make them.
Since my second goal is to keep up the weekly updates for my webcomic, come hell or high water, this is quite a workload, artwise. And then, because I am masochistic, apparently, I'm also writing two submissions for TSR's fairytale anthology and doing the cover illustration, as well as setting up a goal of working on Winters of Our War in preparation for the rewrite.
And I'm doing NaNo in November, of course - going for a six-six winning streak.
And, because that wasn't enough, I'm going to try to start making steampunk gadgets as a craftsproject; jewellery made out of old cogs and sprockets and wires, brass-and-leather goggles, glowy stuff, smoking pipes even though I don't smoke, bags and buckled/buttoned spats (oh gosh, are spats ever adorable-looking) and, you know, the works.
And write the daily prompts. I'm three for three so far, which is an excellent track record, even if the writing of them is painfully slow at times. I shall prevail! And somehow get some time to sleep and eat and visit the bathroom in between!
.... I am nothing of not overly ambitious.
